For the young adult, many useful skills, opportunities, and privileges come regularly. When they do, it only remains a duty for the individual to pick up these skills, maximise them, and yield positive results.

These skills come in different forms.  Digital Skills is one. It is by recent trends, fast evolving to become a necessity for survival as it has come in company with data, which is the life of the internet.

For a straight definition, Digital Skills are skills that portray digital literacy and an awareness of the future of work on the internet. As the young adult is the future, he is mandated to have these digital skills that would help him survive in this age. 1. Content Development

Everything around you is basically Content. How you express it is the only thing that matters as regards digital skills. By this, content include text, video, audio, and other digital formats. The basic understanding of how to create content is a digital skill essential for a growing teenager.

2. Social Media Management

Social Media is the Soul of the Internet. This is because, the bulk of online activities are carried out with a direct or indirect link with a social media platform. Social media management includes the knowledge of online advertising, branding, and online crisis management amongst others. As such, learning to properly manage social media is a skill that would profit a growing teenager.

3. Programming

As many brands and companies come up with brilliant online projects, there is a need to develop websites and application softwares to grow these projects. Overtime, online startup projects like Paystack, Piggyvest, and UpNEPA amongst others have solved basic problems and eased people's way of life by their websites and applications.

All in all, there are many more digital skills that are necessary to ensure that teenagers are equipped for the future that we are in, and that which is to come. Other Skills like Email Marketing, Networking, Affiliate Marketing, Graphics, and Video Editing are valuable digital skills that should at no point be left out of the options for a teenager.
